博士班學位考 Doctoral degree exam

壹、申請文件:(以下文件請繳至所辦申請)
1、申請應至陽明交通單一入口網填妥申請書後繳交至所辦所辦。
2、歷年成績單一份(可由本所提供無註冊章的公務用成績單給教務處,請事先告知)。
3、通過資格考核(請檢附資格考總成績登記單影本)。
4、
指導教授推薦函一份
5、中文及英文論文摘要各一頁。
6、SCI列名之論文(須符合本所畢業規定,請附上SCI之Impact Factor證明)。並上網填寫表單https://forms.gle/FWxtWQc8DY9zHyew8
7、若欲邀請的口試委員非副教授職級,須再附上委員CV及詳細原因說明,經認可後方可邀請。

注意:每年12月份請勿辦理口試(因會計結帳無經費可支給委員費用) !

貳、應考條件:
1、發表的文章必須要有本所名義才能算為畢業文章。本所英文全名如下:Institute of Clinical Medicine, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University

2、 論文通訊作者(之一)必須為該生的第一指導教授。(自105學年度新生開始適用。)

3、 發表文章必須為國際科學索引指標(Science Citation Index:SCI)列名之期刊接受發表,文章的Impact Factor或在該學門領域的排名與修業年限相關規定如下:

修業年級文章篇數及相關規定
修業滿三年申請學位考者一篇文章:
一篇Impact Factor ≧ 5.0或該學門排名前10%(含)之單一第一作者論文接受發表。

二篇文章:
二篇Impact Factor ≧ 2.0或該學門之前30%之單一第一作者論文接受發表。

二篇文章有共同第一作者情形:
至少有一篇文章須為單一第一作者,且兩篇內至少有一篇Impact Factor≧5.0或該學門排名前10%接受發表,另一篇為Impact Factor ≧ 2.0或該學門之前30%。
修業未滿三年申請學位考者一篇文章:
一篇Impact Factor ≧10.0且該學門排名前5%(含)之單一第一作者論文接受發表。

二篇文章:
一篇Impact Factor≧5.0或該學門排名第一,另一篇Impact Factor≧2.0或該學門之前30%,之單一第一作者論文接受發表。

二篇文章有共同第一作者情形:
共同第一作者文章需Impact Factor≧5.0或該學門排名前10%接受發表,另一篇單一第一作者文章須Impact Factor≧5.0或該學門排名第一。

4、學位考試舉行時,應提出論文原創性比對報告供考試委員參考,並經指導教授於論文審定同意書簽核。

5、修畢本所必修科目與學分: 博士班至少修畢十八學分;逕修讀博士學位者,至少修畢卅學分(其中於博士班期間至少修滿十八學分);論文學分均另計。

6、經資格考核通過。

参、學位考試委員:

一、博士學位考試委員(包含召集人和指導教授)人數五名,其中校內外委員均須佔三分之一 (含)以上,並請一位資深教師擔任召集人,且指導教授不得擔任召集人。

二、博士學位考試委員,除對博士學位候選人所提論文學科有專門研究外,並應具有下列資格之一:1、曾任教授者。2、擔任中央研究院院士或曾任中央研究院研究員者。3、曾任副教授或擔任中央研究院副研究員,在學術上著有成就者。4、獲有博士學位,在學術上著有成就者。5、屬於稀少性或特殊性學科,在學術或專業上著有成就者。

肆、論文初稿撰寫:論文初稿之撰寫必須依照規定格式,以英文書寫,經指導教授審查認可後,於學位考試舉行前兩週內,自行將初稿,交各考試委員。

伍、學位考試申請及舉辦日期:請依當學期公佈為準。

陸、辦理學位考試應符合下列規定:

一、學位考試成績,以出席考試委員評定分數平均決定之;但博士學位考試如有三分之一(含)以上委員評定不及格者,即以不及格論。

二、考試委員應親自出席委員會,不得委託他人代理。學位考試應有三分之二(含)以上委員出席,但博士學位候選人之學位考試至少須委員五人出席,且出席委員中校外委員須有三分之一(含)以上,否則不得舉行考試;已舉行者其成績不予採認。 學位考試委員名冊異動申請書

三、學位考試成績以B-為及格。

四、學位考試成績不及格者,得於次學期起再行提出申請重考;惟應於其修業年限屆滿前完成。重考以一次為限,重考成績仍不及格者,應令退學。

五、逕修讀博士學位者,未通過學位考試,其論文經學位考試委員會認定符合碩士論文標準者,改授碩士學位。

柒、撤銷學位考試之申請:已申請學位考試之研究生,若因故無法於該學期內完成學位考試,得告知所辦申請撤銷考試。

捌 、 離校手續及表單:

一、學位考口試後請將口試當日所有的資料給指導教授及委員簽名並送交所辦給所長簽名 。

二、論文請與指導教授討論修訂完成後再上傳至圖書館 。

三 、 畢業離校時所辦要收到一本論文精裝本才會幫您核准線上離校流程 。

DOCTORAL DEGREE EXAM

I. Application Documents: (The following documents 
should be submitted to the ICM administrative office) 

1. After completing the application form at NYCU Portal ,  it should be submitted to the ICM administrative office.
2. A copy of academic transcript for past semesters (if needed, the ICM administrative office can provide an official transcript without registration stamps to the Academic Affairs Office for you, please inform the office in advance). 
3. A copy of the Certificate of Completion of Qualifying Examination. 
4. A Letter of Recommendation from your advisor . 
5. One page long thesis abstract, each in Chinese and English. 
6. SCI-listed papers (must meet the graduation requirements of ICM, and please attach the SCI Impact Factor certificate). 
7. If the oral examination committee member you wish to invite is not at or above the rank of associate professor, you must attach the committee member’s CV, and you can invite him/her after institute approval. 


II. Examination Requirements:
1. The published article must be in the name of ICM before it can be counted as a graduate article. The full English name of the institute is : Institute of Clinical Medicine, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University

2. One of the corresponding authors of the thesis must be the student’s first thesis instructor. (Applicable for 2016 academic year admission students and there after.)

3. The published article must be accepted for publication by a journal listed in the International Science Citation Index (SCI). The requirements for Impact Factor of the article or the ranking in the field of study and the length of study are as follows:

Two articles with a common first author situation:
At least one article must be a single first author, and at least one of the two papers should have Impact Factor ≧ 5.0 or the top 10% of the subject accepted for publication, and the other should have Impact Factor ≧ 2.0 or the top 30% of the subject.
Applicants for degree candidates who have studied for less than three yearsAn article:
A single first author paper with Impact Factor ≧10.0 and the top 5% (inclusive) of the subject is accepted for publication.

Two articles:
Single first author papers: one Impact Factor≧5.0 or the top rank in the subject, and the other Impact Factor≧2.0 or the top 30% of the subject. Both are accepted for publication.

Two articles with one common first author:
The co-first author article must have Impact Factor≧5.0 or the top 10% of the subject is accepted for publication, and the other single first author article must be Impact Factor≧5.0 or the subject ranked first.

4. When the degree examination is held, the originality comparison report of the thesis should be submitted for the examination committee’s reference, and the thesis advisor should sign and approve the thesis.

5. Completion of compulsory subjects and credits in our institute: at least 18 credits for doctoral program; 30 credits for direct doctoral students (including at least 18 credits during doctoral program); dissertation credits are additional count.

6. Passed the qualification  examination.

III. Degree Examination Committee Members:

1. The number of doctoral degree examination committee members (including the convener and supervisor) is five, of which both internal and external members must account for more than one-third (inclusive), and invite a senior teacher to serve as the convener, and the advisor shall not serve as the convener.

2. The members of the doctoral degree examination shall have one of the following qualifications in addition to special research on the subject of the dissertation proposed by the doctoral candidate: 1. Those who have served as professors. 2. Those who are academicians of Academia Sinica or former researchers of Academia Sinica. 3. Former associate professor or associate researcher of Academia Sinica with academic achievements. 4. Those who have obtained a doctorate degree and are academically accomplished. 5. Those who belong to rare or special disciplines and have achieved academic or professional achievements.

IV. Writing the first draft of the thesis: The first draft of the dissertation must be written in English in accordance with the prescribed format. After being reviewed and approved by the instructor, the first draft must be submitted to the examination committees within two weeks before the degree examination.

The following requirements should be met when applying for degree examinations:

V. Application and holding date of degree examination: Please refer to the announcement of the current semester.

VI. Applicants for the degree examinations shall meet the following requirements:

1. The results of the degree examination shall be determined by the average of the scores of the members who attended the examination; however, if one-third (inclusive) or more of the members of the doctoral degree examination fail to pass the assessment, it will be regarded as a failure.

2. The examination committee members should attend the committee in person and shall not entrust others to represent them. The degree examination shall be attended by more than two-thirds (inclusive) of the members, but the degree examination for doctoral degree candidates must be attended by at least five members, and more than one-third (inclusive) of the members from outside the university shall be present, otherwise the examination shall not be held. 3. A grade of B- is considered a passing grade in the degree examination.

4. Those who fail the degree examination may apply for re-examination, starting from the next semester; however, they should complete the examination before the expiration of their study period. The re-examination is limited to one time. Those who still fail the re-examination shall be withdrawn from school.

5. Those who directly study for a doctoral degree but fail the degree examination and whose dissertation is determined by the degree examination committee to meet the standards for master’s thesis will be awarded a master’s degree.

VII. Application for withdrawing the degree examination:

Graduate students who have applied for the degree examination, if for some reason cannot complete the degree examination within the semester, may notify the institution to apply for cancellation of the examination.

VIII. School leaving procedures and forms:

1. After the oral examination of the degree examination, please ask the advisor and the committee members to sign all the materials on the day of the oral examination, and send it to the office for the signature of the director.

2. Please discuss and revise the thesis with the advisor before uploading it to the library.

3. When you are to leave school for graduation, the ICM administrative office must receive a hardcover copy of the thesis to help you approve the online school leaving process.
